Make it a Sweet Saturday and Help Raise Funds for Highland Park’s Birthday

The Highland Park Centennial Committee will host a fund-raising bake sale and raffle on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 10:00am to 2:00pm in Virginia Park. In case of rain, the location will be 435 Marcia Avenue. All proceeds go toward the Centennial Celebration to be held in May of 2019.

The sale features homemade desserts as well as fabulous gift baskets to be raffled! Please join us and help support Highland Park’s 100th Birthday next year.

The date is set for the Highland Park Centennial Celebration. Neighbors old and new will gather for a picnic in Virginia Park on May 4th, 2019, from 11 AM to 3 PM. The memories are on us.

Centennial Bake Sale Fund Raiser Wrap-Up

On Saturday, June 24, 2018, Scott Reynolds set up a beautiful table of baked goods. Neighbors from across Highland Park donated a delicious selection of cakes, cookies, and other delights. Scott reports that the sale raised $149 for the Highland Park Centennial. Thank you to everyone who baked for the sale, helped run the sale, and especially to those generous customers who stopped by to help fund the birthday of our beautiful neighborhood. Life is sweet in Highland Park.

Just when you thought Highland Park couldn’t be more convenient, here comes Neal’s Famous BBQ with a West Side location next door to Flub’s. Neal’s Grab ‘N’ Go hopes to open this July at 997 Eaton Avenue. The new Neal’s will be a walk-up take out featuring barbecue sandwiches plus rib tips, beef brisket, burgers, hot dogs and metts.
